慷慨 + 决心 + 耐心 = 众筹的成功

After five months of crowdfunding, we met our goal of $12,500!  We want to thank all of the families, friends, alumni, students, faculty and staff members who made donations to create the Chinese Leadership Scholarship. Donations from you and 120 other individuals allowed us to reach goal.  Dean Hasan Pirkul of the Jindal School of Management has announced that he will match all of the donations bringing the total to $25,000 — this means we will be able to grant our first $1,000 scholarship to an eligible Chinese student as early as 2016 fall semester!

历时五个多月，我们终于圆满达成了$12,500的众筹目标！在此感谢每一位为华人领导力奖学金捐款的亲朋好友、校友、在校生和教职员工——没有您和其他120余位捐赠者的慷慨相助，就没有奖学金的实现！喜上加喜的是，Jindal School of Management 院长 Dean Hasan Pirkul 日前已宣布匹配华人领导力奖学金，使得本金总额正式升级为$25,000——这意味着我们第一笔$1,000奖学金，确定于2016年秋季发放给最符合申奖条件的JSOM中国学生！

The Chinese Leadership Scholarship will be awarded annually in perpetuity to deserving students. JSOM students applying will need to have received their primary education in China, maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or greater and have documented leadership experience on campus or in their community.  As donors of this project you will receive an update when the first Chinese Leadership Scholarship is awarded. 

华人领导力奖学金将以学年为单位，在中国候选者中间永久发放——有UTD一天，获奖者名额就会只增加、不减少。有机会得到奖学金的候选人除满足UTD的基本申奖条件外，须至少在中国完成初等教育，并可提供在UTD入学期间记录在案的领导力经历（校内外社团、社区等）。作为本奖的捐赠人，您会收到我们16秋季第一次发奖情况的汇报更新。

We are very appreciative of everyone’s donations to create the Chinese Leadership Scholarship. Recently, we received several donations made in memory of Qian “Amy” Wang, MS ’13. 

感谢所有华人领导力奖学金众筹项目的捐赠人！最近，我们陆续收到了一些以纪念2013届校友王倩（Amy Wang）为名的捐赠。

In the summer of 2013, Amy had finished her accounting internship in Iowa and was driving back to Texas when she was involved in terrible accident only an hour away from UT Dallas. She fought for many weeks to recover but unfortunately Amy passed away on August 4, 2013 leaving family, friends and the UT Dallas community heartbroken. Amy was passionate about volunteering and cultural exchange. She proudly volunteered on and off campus with the Confucius Institute, Ascend, International Management Society and DFW International Community Alliance.

2013年夏天，王倩顺利地结束了在爱荷华州的实习，自驾返回达拉斯市。在距离目的地还有一小时车程时，王倩不幸遭遇了一起严重的交通事故。在与死神抗争了数个星期后，2013年8月4日，王倩永远地离开了深爱她的父母和朋友。王倩生前热心公益，身体力行参与文化交流。她曾以志愿者的身份活跃于学校内外，在孔子学院、Ascend、International Management Society 和 DFW International Community Alliance 等组织的活动上都曾留下了她的身影。

Today, Amy’s memory is remembered by her loved ones in a wonderful way with these donations. On behalf of the Jindal School of Management we extend our most sincere appreciation to you.

今天，王倩的名字以这样有意义的形式，被怀念她的人们继续缅怀。在此，谨代表 UTD 商学院，向你们的捐赠致以由衷的敬意和感谢！
